GTA 6 Mods for GTA 5: Vice City, Jason & Lucia, Graphics

GTA 6 comes out on November 19, 2026, but only on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. There is no PC version yet, so there are no real GTA 6 mods. What you can play today are GTA 5 mods that bring parts of GTA 6 to your PC: the graphics, Jason and Lucia, and fan-made versions of Vice City.

Here is what really exists, what Take-Two has taken down, what you need to install them, and the fake "GTA 6 PC" files to stay away from.

Before you install anything

• PC only. Mods work on the PC version of GTA 5, not on PS5 or Xbox.
• Story mode only. Never use mods in GTA Online: Rockstar can ban your account.
• Two versions of GTA 5 on PC. GTA 5 Enhanced (2025, with ray tracing) and GTA 5 Legacy (the original). Most older mods were made for Legacy, so check which version a mod supports.
• Back up your game folder before you change any file.
• Common tools: OpenIV (to edit game files), Script Hook V and Community Script Hook V .NET (to run script mods), and sometimes NativeUI or Menyoo. After each GTA 5 update, Script Hook V must be updated too, or your mods stop working.
• Download only from known mod sites like GTA5-Mods.com, or from the mod author's own page.

1. GTA 6 style graphics: NaturalVision Enhanced

This is the closest you can get to the look of GTA 6 today. NaturalVision Enhanced by Razed overhauls the lighting, weather, reflections, water and colors of GTA 5 Enhanced, and uses its ray tracing. Many players call it the nearest thing to GTA 6 graphics on PC.

• Game version: GTA 5 Enhanced
• Where to get it: the author's site, razedmods.com
• Needs: a clean copy of GTA 5 Enhanced and Script Hook V
• Your PC: ray tracing is heavy. Expect to need a recent RTX or Radeon RX graphics card for smooth play.

2. Play as Jason and Lucia

Modders have recreated GTA 6's two heroes as characters you can play in GTA 5:

MP Jason & Lucia V was uploaded to GTA5-Mods.com in May 2025. It replaces game files and its install notes are short, so it is better for players who already know OpenIV. Add-on characters need a script like AddonPeds to load them in the game.

3. A GTA 6 map in GTA 5 (and why it disappeared)

In March 2025, a modder called Dark Space built Project Vice, a playable version of GTA 6's Vice City and Leonida inside GTA 5, using trailer footage and leaks. Take-Two filed a copyright claim against his YouTube videos, and Dark Space removed the download himself to avoid more trouble. He said the map was "probably a little too accurate."

This is the pattern for GTA 6 map mods: Take-Two removes them quickly. So if you find a "GTA 6 map mod" re-uploaded on an unknown site, be careful: it may be fake, unfinished or bundled with malware.

4. Vice City in GTA 5

Long before GTA 6, modders rebuilt the 2002 Vice City map in GTA 5, with projects like Vice Cry. In 2021, the two most popular map mods for GTA 5, a remastered Vice City and San Andreas, were reportedly removed, around the time rumors said GTA 6 would return to Vice City.

Versions of these maps still circulate on mod sites and in re-uploads. They show the old Vice City, not the new GTA 6 one, and they can break after GTA 5 updates. Only download them from sites you trust.

5. Smaller GTA 6 touches

Search "GTA VI" on GTA5-Mods.com and you will also find smaller mods: GTA 6 style loading screens, HUD and phone designs, outfits and cars seen in the trailers. They are fan-made, often based on the trailers, and quality varies a lot. Read the comments and check the upload date before you install one.

Fake GTA 6 mods and downloads to avoid

• "GTA 6 PC download", "GTA 6 repack" or "GTA 6 mod APK". GTA 6 is not on PC or mobile. These files are scams or malware.
• "Real GTA 6 map leaked" mods on unknown sites. Real map mods get taken down, and fakes use the name to spread malware.
• Mods that ask for your Rockstar, Steam or Epic login. No real mod needs your account.
• Mods for GTA Online. They can get you banned, and some are cheats sold as "mods".

Will GTA 6 have mods?

Not at launch: GTA 6 is console only, and consoles do not support mods. Mods will only be possible once a PC version comes out. See what we know in our GTA 6 PC release date article.

There are good signs for later:

• In 2023, Rockstar bought the team behind FiveM, the most popular roleplay mod platform for GTA 5. Rockstar now runs it officially.
• For GTA 5, Take-Two has said it generally does not act against single-player PC mods, as long as they do not touch GTA Online or copy content from other games.

So when GTA 6 reaches PC, expect a big modding scene, and probably official roleplay servers. Until then, the mods above are the closest you can get.

Are there GTA 6 mods?

Not real ones. GTA 6 is not on PC yet. "GTA 6 mods" today are GTA 5 mods that copy GTA 6 graphics, characters or places.

Can I play GTA 6 on PC with a mod?

No. No mod turns GTA 5 into GTA 6. Any file that claims to do that, or to be a GTA 6 PC download, is fake.

What is the best GTA 6 graphics mod for GTA 5?

NaturalVision Enhanced by Razed, for GTA 5 Enhanced. It uses ray tracing and is the closest look to GTA 6 on PC.

Can I get banned for GTA 5 mods?

Not in story mode. Rockstar can ban you for mods in GTA Online, so always play mods offline in story mode.

Will there be a GTA 6 map mod?

Fans have made them, like Project Vice, but Take-Two has taken them down quickly. Be careful with re-uploads.
