GTA 6 Price, Editions and Pre-Order Bonuses Explained

How much does GTA 6 cost, what is in the Ultimate Edition, and what do you get for pre-ordering? Rockstar has confirmed the answers, and they are all below, along with the preload date and an important detail about the boxed version.

Quick answer: GTA 6 costs $79.99 for the Standard Edition and $99.99 for the Ultimate Edition, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Every copy bought before November 20, 2026 gets the Vintage Vice City Pack, and digital pre-orders also get one month of GTA+. You can preload from November 12, a week before the November 19 launch.

GTA 6 price and editions

Edition	Price (US)	What you get
Standard Edition	$79.99	The game
Ultimate Edition	$99.99	The game, plus an exclusive collection of premium vehicles, weapons, apparel and action tied to Jason and Lucia's story

Rockstar has not published a full item-by-item list of the Ultimate Edition content yet. Prices in other regions and currencies are set by each store: check the PlayStation Store or Microsoft Store in your country for the exact amount.

Pre-order bonuses

• Vintage Vice City Pack: included with every pre-order and every purchase made before November 20, 2026. So you get it even if you buy on launch day, as long as it is before the 20th.
• One free month of GTA+: for digital pre-orders only, and you can use it right away. GTA+ is Rockstar's membership: it gives benefits in GTA Online and access to the GTA+ Games Library, which includes GTA V and other classic Rockstar games.

Preload date

If you pre-order the digital version, you can start preloading on November 12, 2026, so the game is ready to play when it unlocks on November 19. Rockstar has given the date but not an exact time for preloading.

Rockstar has also not announced the exact unlock time for November 19, or the file size. We will add both here as soon as they are official. Our advice: check your free storage space before November 12, because recent open-world games often take well over 100 GB.

The boxed version has no disc

This one surprises a lot of people. At launch, the physical edition of GTA 6 does not include a disc. Inside the box there is a download code, as Rockstar confirmed to Video Games Chronicle. The box goes on sale on November 12, so physical buyers can preload too.

What it means for you:

• You need an internet connection and enough storage to play, even if you buy the box.
• A PS5 Digital Edition or Xbox Series S, which have no disc drive, can play the boxed version without any problem.
• If you planned to buy a box to resell later, keep in mind that a used code may not be transferable.

Where can you buy it?

Rockstar lists the PlayStation Store, the Microsoft Store, the Rockstar Games Store and retailers around the world.

What about PC?

There is no PC edition to buy yet, because Rockstar has not announced a PC version. A GamesBeat report says one is planned for early 2027, but it is not confirmed. More in GTA 6 PC Release Date: What We Know and our GTA 6 PC System Requirements guide.
