About us

We help gamers play more and worry less about their PC.

FpsGen is a team of gamers and writers. We publish guides, system requirements, news and reviews for PC and console games, so you know what runs on your setup and how to get the best out of it.

Who we are

We are a small team of PC players, console players and writers who spend a lot of time with games, both new releases and the free-to-play games we have played for years. We started FpsGen because we kept asking the same questions before every new game: will it run on my PC, which settings should I use, and is it worth my time?

Today the team writes guides, checks system requirements, follows game news and builds free tools like ourCan I Run It checker. Every article is written and reviewed by our team before it is published.

What we cover

How we work

01Played, not copied

We play the games we write about, and we check every fact against official sources: developer sites, Steam pages and patch notes.

02Kept up to date

Requirements, prices and release dates change. When they do, we update the article and its date.

03Clear and simple

Short answers first, details after. No filler, no clickbait, and rumors are always marked as rumors.

04Free for everyone

Every guide and tool on FpsGen is free to read and use, including our Can I Run It checker.

Spotted a mistake? Tell us on the contact page and we will fix it as soon as we can.

How FpsGen is funded

FpsGen is free to read. Some links on the site are affiliate links: when you start playing a game through one of them, a partner network may pay us a commission. This never costs you anything, and partners never review or approve our articles. These links are marked with rel="sponsored".

Independence

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the developers and publishers of the games we cover, or by Valve, Sony, Microsoft or Nintendo. Game names, logos and images belong to their respective owners.
