Forza Horizon 6 PC System Requirements: Can You Run It?
Forza Horizon 6 PC System Requirements: Can You Run It?

Short answer: to play Forza Horizon 6 on PC you need Windows 10 22H2 or newer, an Intel Core i5-8400 or Ryzen 5 1600, 16 GB of RAM, a GTX 1650, RX 6500 XT or Arc A380, and 167 GB on an SSD. That gives 1080p at 60 FPS on Low. For 1440p at 60 FPS on High, Playground asks for a Core i5-12400F or Ryzen 5 5600X and an RTX 3060 Ti, RX 6700 XT or Arc A580.

One detail catches many players: the GTX 1650 is supported, but older GTX 10 cards such as the GTX 1070 and GTX 1080 are not guaranteed, because Playground only supports NVIDIA cards from the Turing generation and newer.

What the requirements mean for your PC

GTX 1650 yes, GTX 1080 maybe not

This is the most confusing part. The GTX 1650 (Turing, 2019) is the official minimum, but Playground says Pascal cards and older (GTX 1060, 1070, 1080) are not guaranteed, even though a GTX 1080 is faster than a GTX 1650. On AMD, Polaris and Vega cards (RX 400 and RX 500 series, such as the RX 580) are not supported. If you have one of these cards, the game may not start or may crash.

Your graphics card Expected result
GTX 1060, GTX 1070, GTX 1080, RX 580, Vega 56/64 Not officially supported
GTX 1650, GTX 1660 Super, RX 6500 XT, Arc A380 1080p Low, 60 FPS
RTX 2060, RTX 3060, RTX 4060, RX 6600, RX 7600 1080p High, 60 FPS
RTX 3060 Ti, RTX 4060 Ti, RTX 5060 Ti, RX 6700 XT, RX 9060 XT, Arc B580 1440p High, 60 FPS
RTX 4070 Ti, RTX 5070, RX 7900 XT, RX 9070 4K Extreme, 60 FPS
RTX 5070 Ti, RTX 4080, RTX 5080, RX 9070 XT 4K Extreme with ray tracing, 60 FPS

These tiers are FpsGen estimates based on the official specs. Compare cards in our GPU Tier List 2026.

16 GB of RAM is the minimum

Even the minimum tier asks for 16 GB. The Extreme tier asks for 24 GB and Extreme RT for 32 GB. With 8 GB of RAM, the game is below the minimum. Read Is 16GB RAM Enough for Gaming?

167 GB on an SSD

That is one of the biggest installs of 2026. An SSD is required, and the Extreme tiers ask for an NVMe SSD. Check your free space before you download.

Ray tracing and upscaling

The Extreme RT tier turns on ray-traced reflections and ray-traced global illumination. Playground lists every upscaler:

  • NVIDIA: DLSS Super Resolution on all RTX cards, DLSS Frame Generation on RTX 40, Multi Frame Generation on RTX 50, DLAA and Reflex.
  • AMD: FSR 4 or FSR 3, depending on your card. See How to Enable FSR 4 on AMD GPUs.
  • Intel: XeSS 2.1.

The game also supports ultrawide, 4K HDR and uncapped frame rates, and has a built-in benchmark mode. It even shows how much video memory and RAM your settings use, which helps a lot on 8 GB cards.
