The Wolf Among Us Remastered comes out on October 29, 2026, on PC (Steam and Epic Games Store), PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch and Switch 2. Telltale has published the official PC requirements on Steam, and they are very light: a GTX 1050 Ti and 8 GB of RAM are enough for the recommended 1080p at 60 FPS on High.

What the requirements really mean
The minimum is extremely old hardware. The Core 2 Quad Q6600 came out in 2007 and the GTX 470 in 2010. Almost any PC that can run Windows 10 should get past the minimum. The catch is that these old cards have limited driver support today, so a newer entry-level card is the safer bet.
The recommended specs are entry-level too. A GTX 1050 Ti or a Radeon RX 6400 for 1080p at 60 FPS on High means most gaming PCs and many gaming laptops from the last seven years should be fine.
8 GB of RAM in both columns. That is enough for a story game like this one. With 16 GB, you have more room for a browser or Discord in the background.
Windows 10 for minimum, Windows 11 recommended. Unlike some 2026 releases, the minimum still lists Windows 10, so you do not have to upgrade to play. If you are not sure which version you have, see our guide on how to check your PC specs.

What's new in the remaster
The Wolf Among Us is Telltale's detective story based on DC's Fables comics, first released in five episodes in 2013 and 2014. You play as Bigby Wolf, the sheriff of Fabletown, a hidden community of fairy-tale characters in New York, investigating a series of murders.
According to the Steam page, the remaster includes:
- All five episodes of the original story in one package.
- Noir Mode: a new black-and-white look that you can turn on or off at any time.
- Improved visuals: better lighting, updated animation and refined environments.
- Bonus content: developer commentary, concept art, interviews and restored material.
