Final Fantasy Resonance PC System Requirements

Final Fantasy Resonance is out on October 22, 2026, on PC (Steam and Xbox on PC), PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch and Switch 2. Good news for PC players: this is one of the lightest Final Fantasy games in years. The official Steam requirements ask for a GTX 1650 at minimum, and the same card is listed in the recommended specs for 1080p at 60 FPS on the highest preset.

Below are the full requirements, what they mean, and how to check your own PC.

What the requirements really mean

Almost any gaming PC from the last six years can run it. A GTX 1650 is an entry-level card from 2019, and it is listed in both columns. If your card is at least as fast as a GTX 1650, you should be able to aim for 60 FPS at 1080p.

The Intel processor is the same in both columns. Square Enix lists the Core i3-8100 as both minimum and recommended. On the AMD side, the recommended chip moves up from a Ryzen 3 2300X to a Ryzen 5 2500X. In practice, any 4-core processor from 2018 or newer is in the right range.

8 GB of RAM is enough. Both columns ask for 8 GB, which is rare in 2026. With 16 GB you will have room for Discord and a browser in the background.

Windows 11 only. This is the one point to watch: both columns list Windows 11, not Windows 10. The game may still start on Windows 10, but it is not officially supported. If you are not sure which version you have, our guide how to check your PC specs shows where to look.

15 GB of storage. Small by today's standards. The Steam page does not require an SSD.

Steam Deck Verified. According to Notebookcheck, the Steam version is Steam Deck Verified and uses Denuvo DRM.

Which graphics card for which experience

These are our estimates based on the official requirements, not Square Enix's numbers.

Graphics card What to expect
Integrated graphics, GT 1030 Below the minimum: may not run well
GTX 1050 Ti, RX 570 Close to the minimum: 1080p Low, around 30 FPS
GTX 1650, RX 6400, RX 5500 XT, Arc A580 Official specs: 1080p, 30 FPS Low to 60 FPS Highest
GTX 1660, RTX 3050, RX 6600 and faster Above recommended: 1080p Highest with room to spare, or 1440p

Can my PC run Final Fantasy Resonance?

The easiest test is the free demo on Steam. It covers the whole first chapter, which Square Enix estimates at about 3 to 5 hours, and your save carries over to the full game. If the demo runs well, the full game will too.

What kind of game is Final Fantasy Resonance?

Final Fantasy Resonance is a single-player, turn-based RPG by Square Enix and LANCARSE. It adapts the first story arc of the mobile game Final Fantasy Brave Exvius, as a full game rather than a mobile title. You play as Rain, an airship squadron commander in the kingdom of Grandshelt, after the Earth Crystal shatters.

  • Turn-based battles with a turn-order timeline. Hitting enemy weaknesses staggers them and gives you extra turns and Resonance attacks.
  • Visions: crystallized essences of well-known Final Fantasy characters that you find in the world and equip to your party.
  • Music by Noriyasu Agematsu, with 120 tracks.
