Phantom Blade Zero PC System Requirements: Can Your PC Run It?

Phantom Blade Zero comes out on October 29, 2026, and S-GAME has published its official PC system requirements on Steam. Below are the full requirements, what they mean in practice, and how to check your own PC in a few seconds.

What the requirements really mean

Upscaling is part of the plan. Both the minimum and the recommended specs say "with upscaling enabled". In other words, a GTX 1660 gets 30 FPS at 1080p only with upscaling on, and an RTX 3060 Ti reaches 1440p at 60 FPS the same way. Expect lower numbers if you play at native resolution.

The minimum is a 30 FPS target. For an action game where fights are decided by a dodge or a parry, 30 FPS is playable but not ideal. If you want a smooth 60 FPS at 1080p, aim for something between the two columns: an RTX 3060, RX 6600 XT or better.

16 GB of RAM in both columns. Even the recommended specs stay at 16 GB, which is good news. With 8 GB, the game is below the official minimum.

An SSD is required, not just recommended. Unreal Engine 5 streams the world from storage as you move. On a hard drive, expect long loading and stutter.

The processor bar is moderate. A Ryzen 5 3600 or Core i7-8700K is enough for the minimum, and a Ryzen 5 5600X for the recommended specs. Most gaming PCs from the last five years are fine here: the graphics card is the part to watch.

Which graphics card for which experience

These are our estimates based on the official requirements. They are not S-GAME's numbers.

Graphics card What to expect
GTX 1650, RX 570, or weaker Below the minimum: may not run well at all
GTX 1660, RX 5500 XT, RTX 3050 Minimum: 1080p around 30 FPS with upscaling
RTX 3060, RX 6600 XT, RTX 4060, RX 7600 1080p, closer to 60 FPS with upscaling
RTX 3060 Ti, RX 6700 XT, RTX 5060, RX 9060 XT Recommended: 1440p around 60 FPS with upscaling
RTX 4070, RX 7800 XT, RX 9070 and faster Above recommended: 1440p high settings, or 4K with upscaling

Best settings to start with

  • Turn on upscaling first: DLSS on NVIDIA RTX cards, FSR or XeSS on AMD, Intel and older NVIDIA cards. The official specs assume it is on.
  • Lower shadows and effects before textures: in Unreal Engine 5 games they usually cost the most FPS. If your card has 8 GB or more, textures can often stay high.
  • Aim for a steady frame rate: in a game built on parries and dodges, a stable 60 FPS, or a locked 30 on weaker PCs, feels better than a number that jumps around.
  • Keep your graphics driver up to date: NVIDIA and AMD usually release drivers for big games around launch.
