What the requirements mean for your PC
Ray tracing graphics cards only
The minimum list only has cards with hardware ray tracing: RTX 2060, RX 6600, Arc A580. That means GTX cards (GTX 1060, GTX 1660, GTX 1080) and the RX 5000 series are below the minimum. If you still have one, Fable is a good reason to upgrade.

12 GB of RAM minimum
12 GB means 16 GB in practice for most PCs (two 8 GB sticks). If you are still on 8 GB, upgrade before February. Read Is 16GB RAM Enough for Gaming?
135 GB on an SSD
That is one of the biggest installs of 2027, and an SSD is required for both minimum and recommended. On a hard drive, the game is not supported.
The processor is easy
A Ryzen 5 2600 is a 6-core processor from 2018, so most gaming PCs meet the minimum. For the recommended Ryzen 5 5600 / Core i5-11600KF, any 6-core processor from 2021 or newer is fine. Check your combo with the Bottleneck Calculator.
DLSS 4.5, FSR 4 and XeSS on PC
Fable on PC supports uncapped frame rates, 4K and HDR10, with optional upscaling:
- NVIDIA RTX: DLSS 4.5
- AMD Radeon: FSR 3 and FSR 4 (FSR 4 on newer Radeon cards)
- Intel Arc: XeSS 2.1
On a minimum-spec card, turn upscaling on (Quality or Balanced) to get a smooth frame rate.
Will Fable run on Steam Deck?
Not confirmed. The minimum specs ask for an RTX 2060 class graphics card, which is much stronger than a Steam Deck, so expect very low settings at best. We will update this when Valve tests it.
