How Akane Rin's kit works

Akane's damage comes from one loop: mark enemies, build String Energy with basic attacks, then cash it in with a big hit.

Rhythm Wave	Redirect Skill	Tap: marks one enemy with Overtone for 25 seconds, and her basic attacks also hit that target at long range. Hold: places a Reverb Field for 25 seconds that hits every enemy inside. Only one form at a time, with a shared cooldown.
Stringblade	Basic Attack	A four-hit combo that builds String Energy, up to 30.
Synced Resonance	Skill	At 30 String Energy with a Rhythm Wave form active, a huge hit with no cooldown: 1999% (Overtone) or 1599.2% AoE (Reverb Field) at level 10. Energy is only spent if it connects.
Sonic Boom	Ultimate	Two stages: the first puts her into Solo Cadenza, and pressing it again in the second half triggers a bigger follow-up hit (1999% at level 10).
Altered Chord	Support Skill	Low damage; mostly used to rotate.
Starlit Anthem	Passive	+20% ATK for 20 seconds after Sonic Boom.
Perfect Pitch	Passive	Once your team triggers Remora, she reapplies Remora every 3 seconds to the Overtone target and to enemies in the Reverb Field.

Do you need her signature Arc? No. It is the best, but Youthful Fantasy is free and gets her most of the way. Pull for the signature only after you have Akane and still have currency left.

Best cartridge, modules and stats

• Cartridge: Street Boxer (2-piece: +10% Lakshana DMG; 4-piece: +14% CRIT Chance, plus another +14% for 20 seconds after Remora or Stain). Shadow Creed (ATK bonuses) is the alternative.
• Modules: Type II, III, III, IV. Her console gives +10% ATK per Type III module.
• Main stat: Lakshana DMG%. Switch to a CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG main stat if your CRIT Rate is low.
• Substats, in order: CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG > Universal DMG% ≈ ATK% > Cycle Intensity > flat ATK.

Skill priority: Rhythm Wave > Stringblade > Sonic Boom > Altered Chord. Rhythm Wave comes first because it sets the damage of Synced Resonance.

Awakenings: A2 (Capo On) first, then A5 (Rehearsal Click), then A3 (Shade Capsules). You can swap awakenings at any time.

Akane always stays on the field. Her teams are built around Stain (Psyche + Lakshana) or Remora (Lakshana + Cosmos).

How to play Akane Rin

1. Start with Rhythm Wave: tap it on a boss, or hold it in the middle of a group.
2. Use basic attacks until String Energy reaches 30.
3. Fire Synced Resonance. It has no cooldown, so repeat steps 2 and 3 as long as the form is active.
4. Use Sonic Boom, then press it again in the second half of Solo Cadenza for the follow-up hit, with +20% ATK from Starlit Anthem.
5. Trigger Remora once with a Cosmos teammate like Zero: Perfect Pitch keeps it going after that.

Is Akane Rin worth pulling?

Pull for her if:

• You want a strong main DPS who works at range and against groups.
• You already have Blackbird or Zero: her best teams use them.
• You are a newer player: her loop is simple, and the free Youthful Fantasy Arc works well.

Skip her if: you already have a main DPS you love and are saving for a future character. Her banner has no rerun next to her, so this is a solo debut.
